Elbow hemiarthroplasty in distal humeral fractures: indication, surgical technique and results

Although the Elbow Hemiartrhoplasty (EHA) are used as salvage procedure following failed open reduction and internal fixation, nonunion or malunion, avascular necrosis of the articular surface, the most common indication is for the treatment of acute articular fractures of the distal humerus 1 –11.
