426 Use of Coronary Computed Tomographic Angiography (CCTA) for Absolute Risk Reduction in a Rapid Access Cardiology Clinic (RACC)

The RACC service within the Central Coast Local Health District utilises CCTA for quick and accurate investigation of patients discharged from the Emergency Department with low- intermediate risk chest pain. As demonstrated in the SCOT-HEART trial, CCTA identifies Coronary Artery Disease (CAD) in patients with chest pain, and facilitates appropriate and timely use of medical therapy, and supports more judicious use of invasive angiography1.
