Haemorrhoidectomy under local anaesthesia versus spinal anaesthesia: a systematic review and meta-analysis
ConclusionCompared with SA, LA may be associated with significantly lower post-operative pain, need for rescue analgesia, urinary retention, and headache making it an attractive choice of anaesthesia in day-case surgery for those who are not either fit for GA or refuse such anaesthetic modality.
