Updates on "Barrier device for open tracheostomy during the COVID-19 pandemic"

I read the recent article titled, "Barrier device for open tracheostomy during the COVID-19 pandemic" by Filho WA et al. [1] with great interest. The authors did a fantastic job highlighting the importance of precautions during an important and life saving procedure in Otorhinolaryngology. In the coming times when we expect a scarcity of adequate protective equipment, this method can be a good alternative. Continuation of healthcare services is challenging these days, particularly in a resource-constrained settings due to limited supply of personal protective equipment [2].
