Gastrointestinal Bleeding: Expanding the Shortened Telomere Disorder Phenotype

Telomere biology disorders (TBD) are a group of disorders characterized by an elevated malignancy risk, mucocutaneous abnormalities, pulmonary and hepatic fibrosis and bone marrow failure secondary to severely reduced cellular telomere length (1,2). , the presence of vascular alterations in patients with TBD, including pulmonary arteriovenous malformations and retinal vessel disease, have been increasingly recognized (3).
