We read with interest the recent article by Jennifer Moore highlighting the role that a whole-food, plant-based, low-protein diet may have in improving chronic kidney disease (CKD) outcomes.1 Moore also reports that plant-based foods are rich in antioxidants and phytochemicals with a possible role in improving chronic low-grade inflammation.1
