Researchers to enroll 6,000 for world's largest study of eating disorders
UNC-Chapel Hill researchers are looking to enroll more than 6,000 patients in what will end up being the world's largest genetic study of eating disorders.
The Eating Disorders Genetics Initiative (EDGI) "aims to identify the hundreds of genes that influence a person’s risk" of developing three different eating disorders: anorexia nervosa, bulimia nervosa, and binge-eating disorder.
