Employee injuries in health care, particularly on inpatient psychiatry units, are underreported and significantly affect employee well-being, retention, and care delivery. The Cincinnati Children ’s Hospital Medical Center (CCHMC) Inpatient Neurobehavioral Psychiatry Crisis Management Unit is a 10-bed specialized inpatient unit serving children aged 2 to 22 years with autism spectrum disorder, intellectual disability, and comorbid mental illness and severe behavior, including significant a ggression toward others.
