All hands on deck: addressing the crisis of youth and family homelessness as mental health clinicians

Youth and family homelessness is a critical, yet often overlooked, issue in the United States. Youth homelessness disproportionately affects vulnerable populations (eg, LGBT, racial minorities, foster care- or child welfare-involved, and families of low socioeconomic status), with significant mental health implications. These Clinical Perspectives will provide knowledge and insight into effective engagement and treatment of homeless-experienced youth, young adults, and families in the community through varying innovative modalities and service systems.
