62.3 sexual knowledge assessment and targeted interventions in intellectual developmental disorders

Limited knowledge about sexual health in populations with intellectual or development disability (IDD) can be associated with increased incidences of sexually transmitted diseases, unplanned or undesired pregnancies, and sexual abuse. The aims of this presentation are to identify specific gaps in patients' sexual knowledge by using various screening tools, to consider the validity and limitations of those tools, and to discuss proposed ways to address identified gaps.
