3.4 clinical and neuroimaging correlates of cardiorespiratory fitness in adolescents with bipolar disorder
Cardiovascular disease (CVD) is more prevalent, and occurs prematurely, in individuals with bipolar disorder (BD) vs the general population. Cardiorespiratory/aerobic fitness (CRF) is the most important modifiable CVD risk factor and is also associated with brain structure and function. No prior study has examined this topic in adolescents with BD.
