(Starting) Undergraduate Medicine (5yr) in my forties.

Thread Starter (Starting) Undergraduate Medicine (5yr) in my forties. Follow 1 hour ago 1 hour ago Good morning everyone! I could really do with some speedy advice. I am forty two and have worked in the NHS (clinical side, but unqualified) for about 300 years. I am constantly bombarded with encouragement to "step-up" and go to Med School and become a doctor, often by my doctor colleagues. I really would love to, and am very keen on the idea but shrink away with fear of doing such a task due to my age as I wouldn't be able to attend my first year until the age of forty-three (maybe forty-four) at the very earliest therefore graduating in my late forties. May I ask, please, can anyone advise me as to how possible/realistic (to their knowledge) it would be for someone of my age to pursue a career as a doctor? Do you know anyone who has done it (successfully)? I have only known of one person who has. I'm just wonder...
