Testicular hypertrophy as predictor of contralateral nonpalpable testis among Chinese boys: An 18-year retrospective study.
CONCLUSION: The present results exclusively obtained from laparoscopic exploration suggest that a testis volume of>0.65mL or a testis length of>16.55mm could predict monarchism with an accuracy of about 65%. In younger patients aged 0-2 years and 4-6 years, the overall predictive accuracy increases to about 73% but laparoscopic exploration is still required.
