Adjustment of Warfarin Dose after Bariatric Surgery in Patients on Long-Term Anticoagulants: A Single Institution Experience
The required therapeutic dose of warfarin in patients with LTAC (long-term anti-coagulation) is altered after restrictive and malabsorptive bariatric procedures. The purpose of this study is to investigate the weekly Warfarin dose adjustments to maintain therapeutic INR after the two most common bariatric procedures, laparoscopic sleeve gastrectomy (LSG) and Roux-en-Y gastric bypass (RYGB).
