Abstract
treatment of Hidradenitis Suppurativa (HS) with systemic antibiotics are first line therapy according to European S1 guidelines [1]. Yet, despite being the most investigated antibiotic regimen in HS, the evidence-based literature on clindamycin and rifampicin in HS is limited and primarily based on retrospective studies [2-5]. Additionally, despite the lack of evidence on the long-term risks, the suggested treatment duration is 10 weeks due to the risk of side effects and concerns regarding antibiotic resistance [6].
