Obesity and Prognosis in Triple Negative Breast Cancer

Obesity is an independent risk factor for disease recurrence and death in breast cancer. Growing evidence demonstrates that women with obesity are at increased risk of triple negative breast cancer (TNBC), a breast cancer subtype notable for aggressive biology and poor prognosis. It is less clearly established whether there is an association between obesity and BMI within TNBC. Therefore, we aimed to examine whether BMI was associated with disease-free (DFS) and overall survival (OS) in patients with TNBC.
