Autologous Platelet-Rich Fibrin as an Adjunct in Chronic Wound Management in Low-Resource Settings

Chronic wounds and nonhealing ulcers are a challenge posing a burden on medical resources and loss of staff hours cost. Concentrated platelets and fibrin adhesives have shown promising results in microvascular surgical procedures. The current study aims to understand the role of platelet-rich fibrin (PRF) as an adjunct in management of chronic nonhealing wounds.
