Low Venous Thrombembolism Risk Associated with Excision of Cutaneous Malignancy
The risk of venous thromboembolism (VTE) varies by malignancy type. Few studies have evaluated the VTE risk associated with the excision of cutaneous malignancies. The aim of our study was to compare the VTE risk associated with cutaneous malignancy (both melanoma and nonmelanoma skin cancers) to other low risk cancers, such as breast and thyroid.
