The Cost of Visiting a Community Hospital Emergency Department for Gallbladder-Related Diseases at Night

In community hospitals, the availability of an ultrasound technician can be limited; however, CT scans are readily available. We compared CT and ultrasound use for gallbladder-related diseases during off hours with that of typical business hours in a community-based hospital.
