Autologous Fat Grafting in the Irradiated Tissue of the Head and Neck

According to the American Institute for Cancer Research, oral cancer is the 11th most common cancer in the world with an estimated incidence of 53 000 cases in the United States in 2019. As technology and medicine advances, we have gained a better understanding of this disease process and have improved on identifying prognostic factors, surgical interventions, and other multimodal interventions including chemotherapy, radiation, and targeted molecular therapies. The goals of these therapies are to improve the longevity and quality of life.
