A Rapidly Progressive Melanoma Presenting Initially as a Non-Healing Extraction Socket

We present a case of a 56-year-old woman who self-presented to the emergency department with a non-healing UL7 extraction socket. The patient had ongoing pain, swelling, and paraesthesia despite 2 postoperative courses of oral co-amoxiclav. The patient also had unintentional weight loss of 5% over the preceding 3 months due to difficulty with masticatory function.
