Complications of planned home births in the Czech Republic between 2016 ‒2017.

CONCLUSION: Complications of planned home births occurred more frequently in women living in largely populated cities and with higher education levels. Planned home births were also observed among women who were at a higher risk of complications. Risk factors included nulliparity, postdate pregnancy, and lack of prenatal care. Hospital transfers occurred most often in the third stage of labour and postpartum. PMID: 32997480 [PubMed - in process]
