In vitro production of ergothioneine isotopologues.

We describe a general protocol for the production of ergothioneine isotopologues with programmable 2H, 15N 13C, 34S and 33S isotope labelling patterns. This enzyme-based approach makes efficient use of commercial isotope reagents and is also directly applicable for the synthesis of radio-isotopologues.
