Use of Ultrasound Urodynamics to Identify Differences in Bladder Shape Between Individuals With and Without Overactive Bladder

Conclusions Three-dimensional ultrasound urodynamics can be used to identify differences in bladder shape comparing individuals with and without OAB. This method may be used to identify a subset of OAB patients with abnormal bladder shapes which may play a role in the pathophysiology of their OAB symptoms.

Conclusion The results of the present study suggest that OSAS is associated with OAB syndrome. As a key symptom of OAB, urgency correlates with hypoxia in cases with OSAS. Although the present study did not observe any difference in BWT measurements between the patients and the control group, there was a correlation between BWT measurements and OABSS in patients with OSAS.
