ConclusionsThe observed tendency to forget cooperative interaction partners in BPD is possibly caused by dysfunctional cognitive schemas. At the same time, it might also corroborate patients ’ assumptions that others are untrustworthy, thereby fuelling interpersonal disturbances in BPD.
