Medico-economic comparison of two strategies of in situ thrombolysis for acute ischemia

Intra-arterial in situ thrombolysis can be proposed as a percutaneous treatment of acute stage I and IIa limb ischemia (ALI). We compared two protocols of thrombolysis used successively during the last ten years, as regards clinical and medico-economic efficiency: an extended protocol (72 h) of urokinase administration, then a fast protocol (8 h) with Alteplase rtPA and fragmentation of the thrombus.
