Oregon sets new high for daily Covid cases after weeks of decline
The Oregon Health Authority on Friday reported 457 new identified cases of Covid-19 in the state, a new high mark for daily cases after a period of declining infections.
The previous highest daily count was 437, set in July. In a media call Friday, state health officials did not put blame on a single cause but cited Labor Day gatherings and other social activities, students returning to campus and the recent wildfires.
