A Rare Case of Upper Extremity Swelling and Pain

Ms. L is an active 39-year-old female with past medical history including Raynaud ’s disease and migraines. She presents to her primary care provider with several days of pain and swelling in her right upper extremity from the shoulder to forearm. The pain is not localized, and she denies any preceding trauma or injury. She describes her arm pain as achy, mild to moderate, and continuous. Ms. L also reports some color change to her right arm, but none in her hand. She is athletic and is an avid runner.
