Neither the differentiation between twin-twin transfusion syndrome Stages I and II nor III and IV makes a difference regarding the probability of double survival after laser therapy.

CONCLUSIONS: Perinatal outcome of double survival and at least one survivor was significantly related to stages of severe TTTS. However, our data show that the differentiation between stages I and II and stages III and IV, respectively, does not have any significant prognostic implication in terms of perinatal survival.
