Knowledge and attitude of community members and Health Care Workers on Lassa fever during an outbreak in Kogi State, Nigeria 2016

Background: Lassa fever (LF) is endemic in Nigeria. Outbreaks usually begin in communities however, substandard Infection Prevention and Control (IPC) practices can cause secondary infection in Health Care Workers (HCW). We assessed the knowledge of LF among community members where 2 cases occurred and HCW at the facility where cases were managed to identify knowledge gaps.
