Influence of MTHFR C677T polymorphism on high dose methotrexate related toxicity in patients with primary central nervous system diffuse large B-cell lymphoma

This prospective study was to investigate the influence of the methylenetetrahydrofolate reductase (MTHFR) gene C677T polymorphism on high dose methotrexate related toxicity in rare PCNS-DLBCL patients. A total of 148 cycles of 32 patients were included. The homozygous mutation at nucleotide 677 increases the risk on HD-MTX-related toxicity and can be used as a predictive marker for PCNS-DLBCL patients.
