The investigation of salvage endoscopic laryngopharyngeal surgery after chemoradiotherapy.

Conclusions: If salvage ELPS is performed after radiation therapy, patients should be followed up on an outpatient basis to monitor the onset of subsequent cancers. Complications may become severe; therefore, postoperative management should be performed cautiously. In particular, vulnerable sites, such as the piriform sinus, may not be indicated for surgery. At this stage, the expectation is that patients need to be methodically selected. PMID: 32904634 [PubMed - as supplied by publisher]
