Fertility clinicians and researchers are continuing to focus on achieving high rates of successful pregnancy outcomes, but there is now focus on increased rates of singleton births. In  vitro fertilization (IVF) is the most common approach for successful pregnancy outcomes, which involves manipulating and managing the complex endocrine, paracrine, and autocrine systems of embryonic and maternal origin. In vitro fertilization involves the administration of drugs to stimulate the growth of multiple follicles in the ovary, while at the same time downregulating the pituitary gland.
