Use of the Ovation Endograft System to Treat Abdominal Aortic Aneurysms With Hostile Anatomy
Endovascular aneurysm repair (EVAR) is now the standard treatment modality for infrarenal abdominal aortic aneurysms, and the current European Society for Vascular Surgery guidelines in this context recognise the use of polymer filled rings for achieving proximal sealing.1 The Ovation iX (Endologix, Santa Rosa, CA, USA) endograft system is an ultra low profile (ULP) device used in EVAR. It has wide ranging instructions for use (IFUs) permitting use in many hostile anatomy conditions (HACs). A case series of patients treated with this system is presented, including comparison with other infrarenal EVAR devices.
