Possible association between body temperature and B-type natriuretic peptide in patients with cardiovascular diseases

Both A-type natriuretic peptide (ANP) and B-type natriuretic peptide (BNP) are produced in the heart, and the various biological effects of natriuretic peptides (NPs) on the cardiovascular system play a key role in the pathophysiology of heart failure. NPs classically act on the renal and cardiovascular systems, regulate blood pressure and fluid homeostasis through vasodilatory and diuretic actions, and improve cardiac remodeling.1, 2
