Negative-pressure wound therapy compared with standard dressings following surgical treatment of major trauma to the lower limb: the WHiST RCT , NIHR
This UK study (n=1548) found no evidence of a difference between negative pressure wound therapy and standard dressings in rate of deep surgical site infection, disability, quality of life or scar appearance in patients having surgery for major trauma to the limbs.
