Viscoelastic properties of clot formation and their clinical impact in East Asian versus Caucasian patients with stable coronary artery disease: a COMPARE-RACE analysis

In conclusion, this is the first study to demonstrate different viscoelastic properties of clot between East Asian and Caucasian patients with stable CAD. The platelet–fib rin clot strength was significantly associated with MACE in these patients and was significantly lower in East Asians. Future studies are warranted to further explore the mechanistic explanation and clinical importance of these findings.
