64-Year-Old Man With Altered Mental Status
A 64-year-old man presented to the emergency department with progressive altered mental status of 1 week ’s duration. He was also experiencing nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, and upper respiratory tract symptoms. His medical history was notable for coronary artery disease treated with drug-eluting stent, aspirin, and atorvastatin, hypertension treated with carvedilol, psoriatic arthritis treated with ada limumab, type 2 diabetes mellitus treated with insulin, meningioma treated with resection, inferior vena cava thrombus treated with apixaban, and renal cell carcinoma treated with ipilimumab and nivolumab.
