In this study, we evaluated prostate multiparametric MRI (mpMRI) before and after neoadjuvant enzalutamide plus ADT. EXPERIMENTAL DESIGN: Men with localized intermediate- or high-risk prostate cancer underwent a baseline mpMRI and mpMRI-targeted biopsy followed by a second mpMRI after 6 months of enzalutamide and ADT prior to RP. Specimens were sectioned in the same plane as mpMRI using patient-specific 3D-printed molds to permit mpMRI-targeted biopsies to be compared to the same lesion from the RP. Specimens were analyzed for imaging and histologic correlates of response. RESULTS: Of 39 patients enrolled, 36 com...

We present post-prostatectomy pathology results from a series of prostate cancer (Pca) Gleason grade group ≥ 2 patients who did not have findings suggestive of cancer on preoperative pelvic magnetic resonance imaging (MRI).

In this study of Chinese men with biochemical recurrence, added value for the detection of lesions compatible with sites of PCa was found with68Ga-PSMA-11 PET/CT over conventional imaging. The observed patterns of disease spread may have implications for understanding the biology of early prostate cancer metastasis.

To investigate the correlation of multiparametric magnetic resonance imaging targeted (TBx) and/or systematic prostate biopsy (SBx) in predicting the presence of clinically significant (cs) prostate cancer (PCa) in radical prostatectomy (RP) specimens. Concordance of mpMRI and RP specimen lesions was also investigated in terms of tumor localization and histopathological features.

AbstractPurposeExtraprostatic extension (EPE) is an unfavorable prognostic factor and the grade of EPE is also shown to be correlated with the prognosis of prostate cancer. The current study assessed the value of prostate magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) in measuring the radial distance (RD) of EPE and the role of T2 WI signs in predicting the grade of EPE.Materials and methodsA total of 110 patients who underwent prostate MRI before radical prostatectomy are enrolled in this retrospective study. Eighty-four patients have organ confined disease and the remaining twenty-six patients have EPE all verified by histopathology. ...
