Important caveats in refractory cardiac arrest

Notwithstanding the successful outcome from the use of systemic thrombolysis in the patient with cardiac arrest of presumed acute myocardial infarction(AMI) etiology [1], the fundamental issue of contention is that the precaution had not been taken to use point-of care transthoracic echocardiography(TTE) [2] to rule out dissecting aortic aneurysm(DAA).
