Assessment of binder of sperm protein 1 (BSP1) and heparin effects on in vitro capacitation and fertilization of bovine ejaculated and epididymal sperm.

In conclusion, this study confirmed that either BSP1 and heparin can be used as capacitator agents for bovine ejaculated sperm during IVF. However, BSP1 seems to be more efficient compared with heparin for epididymal sperm. Furthermore, BSP1 and heparin have no synergic effects on sperm capacitation.
