Are There Lower Complication Rates with Bidirectional Barbed Suture in Total Knee Arthroplasty Incision Closure? A Randomized Clinical Trial.

CONCLUSIONS The use of full-thickness bidirectional barbed suture for incision closure after TKA may increase postoperative incision complications, and therefore is not recommended.
