Private Practice Radiologists ’ Perceptions of Peer Learning

Radiologists traditionally perform peer review (PR) for professional performance evaluation through retrospective score-based evaluation of randomly selected reports by radiologists within the same practice, a practice exemplified by the ACR RADPEER ® program, which was established in 2002 [1]. Recently, some have argued that this does not meet the goals of the Institute of Medicine’s 2015 report Improving Diagnosis in Health Care, which emphasizes a just-culture environment of teamwork and continuous learning as the best means for quality a ssurance in medicine [2].
