Acute kidney injury after a stroke: A PRISMA ‐compliant meta‐analysis

ConclusionsAcute kidney injury appears to be a common complication after stroke and is related to increased mortality and disability in stroke. Additionally, high NIHSS score on admission and history of hypertension were the critical risk factors for the AKI after stroke. More large ‐scale studies should be made to explore AKI after stroke.
