Cluster infections play important roles in the rapid evolution of COVID-19 transmission: a systematic review

In December of 2019, an emerging infectious disease named as COVID-19 caused by SARS-CoV-2 virus was first reported in Wuhan, Hubei Province, China (Epidemiology Working Group for NCIP Epidemic Response, 2020). Since then, more and more countries also reported COVID-19 all over the world (Liu et al., 2020a). The World Health Organization (WHO) has declared the COVID-19 a public health emergency of international concern January 30, 2020 (WHO, 2020a), and further declared the COVID-19 a pandemic on March 11,2020 (WHO, 2020b).
