Rectal Distension Increased the Rectoanal Gradient in Patients with Normal Rectal Sensory Function.

CONCLUSIONS: Rectal distension during simulated evacuation will affect the anorectal pressure profile. Increase in rectoanal gradient and correction of dyssynergia was only significant in patients with normal rectal sensory function and normal BET.
