UC Riverside joins new NSF center for the preservation of biological systems

(University of California - Riverside) UC Riverside is one of four universities collaborating on a $26 million NSF Engineering Research Center grant. The center, led by the University of Minnesota and Massachusetts General Hospital, is called Advanced Technologies for the Preservation of Biological Systems, or ATP-Bio. It will contribute to the development of technology to bring biological systems back from suspended animation. The grant is UC Riverside's first successful bid for an Engineering Research Center.
