This article summarizes the evidence on efficacy, safety, and immunogenicity of biosimilars currently approved in Europe for IBD treatment, by reviewing the literature on PubMed, EMBASE, and Web of Science databases up to mid-July 2020. Particular emphasis was placed on the need to further improve communication with patients and physicians' knowledge on biosimilars. EXPERT OPINION: Adoption of biosimilars in clinical practice represents a great opportunity from an economic point of view, reducing healthcare costs and increasing patients' access to effective biologic treatments. Clinicians should be aware and confident ...
Authors: Pazzola G, Pipitone N, Salvarani C Abstract INTRODUCTION: Heart involvement in vasculitis is rare, but potentially severe. The ascertainment of cardiac disease in vasculitis is complex and requires an integrated multidisciplinary approach involving the Rheumatologist, Radiologist, Cardiologist and Heart surgeon. AREAS COVERED: the authors searched PubMed using the key words "heart"[Mesh] and vasculitis"[Mesh]. EXPERT OPINION: Virtually any vasculitis can affect the heart, but cardiac involvement is more common in some vasculitides such as Takayasu arteritis, polyarteritis nodosa and ...

Authors: Lv L, Gu H, Chen Z, Tang W, Zhang S, Lin Z Abstract BACKGROUND: MicroRNA (miR)-146a might participate in the occurrence of malignant tumor. The aim of the current investigation was to evaluate the relationship of microRNA-146a (miR-146a) rs2910164 C> G locus to the development of digestive system cancer (DSC). METHODS: We retrieved publications from PubMed, China Biology Medicine and EMBASE databases up to August 29, 2019. Finally, 56 independent case-control studies with 59,098 participants were included. The strength of the relationship between rs2910164 locus and a risk of DSC was assessed. ...
