Transanal Endoscopic Microsurgery (TEM) for rectal GI stromal tumor

Short Summary: TEM is a safe method for the excision of early rectal GISTs and neoadjuvant imatinib is effective in shrinking tumors. Further multicenter studies are required to evaluate the effectiveness of TEM on this rare tumor.
