Molecular characteristics and in vitro susceptibility to bedaquiline of Mycobacterium tuberculosis isolates circulating in Shaanxi, China

Tuberculosis (TB) is an infectious disease that has threatened the heath of human being in the word today (World Health Oragnization, 2019). The emergence of multidrug-resistant tuberculosis (MDR-TB), particularly for extensively drug-resistant tuberculosis (XDR-TB) poses a major challenge to global TB control. At present, the treatment regimens for drug-resistant TB are longer, more expensive and less effective than that of drug-susceptible TB. The treatment for MDR-TB and XDR-TB has often failed due to lack of effective drugs, it's an urgent need to develop new anti tuberculosis drugs with high efficiency and short treatment cycle to form a new treatment regimens.
